About Miss Olivia & the Interlopers
Miss Olivia & the Interlopers are known for their eclectic fusion of soul, blues, jazz, and rock. Led by the powerhouse vocals of Olivia Reardon, their sound is both nostalgic and refreshingly unique, pulling inspiration from legends like Erykah Badu, Amy Winehouse, and The Black Crowes. With David Hostetler on bass, David Valencia on guitar, and Daniel Thomas on drums, the band combines technical precision with heartfelt artistry, earning accolades such as “Best Musical Act” in Tucson Weekly for multiple years.
The band’s journey began when Miss Olivia moved to Tucson after years of performing alongside notable musicians, including members of Guns N’ Roses, in Los Angeles. The synergy between Olivia and the Interlopers was immediate, and their collective influences—ranging from gospel and funk to R&B and country—breathed life into a unique soundscape. Their music often channels themes of love, resilience, and joy, as seen in songs like “Leaving You Behind” and “Blacklisted” from their EP, Little Stories, recorded at WaveLab Studios.
A hallmark of their live performances is their ability to connect deeply with audiences, creating an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels like part of their “band family.” They’ve performed at celebrated venues across the Southwest and are featured on local streaming platforms like Desert Streams, which highlights the best of Tucson’s music scene. Whether performing as a full band or an intimate trio, Miss Olivia & the Interlopers blend originality and showmanship to deliver unforgettable musical experiences.
With their sights set on expanding their reach, the band is actively writing new music and captivating audiences one stage at a time. Their sound, described as ‘a perfect mixtape crafted by a friend with impeccable taste’, continues to evolve while staying grounded in their love for storytelling and soulful expression.
