In celebration of International Women’s Month, De La Vega Art Gallery invites the public to experience Maiden, Mother, Crone: The Feminine Archetypes of Compassion, Wisdom & Resilience, a powerful juried exhibition honoring the timeless cycles of feminine energy through fine art.
Curated by Karyn Holyk, bringing her BlueSoul practice–rooted in gemstone pigment, desert devotion, and presence-led creation, the exhibition explores the symbolic archetypes of Maiden, Mother, and Crone—not as stages of age, but as lived energies of becoming, creating, nurturing, and understanding that we move through, again and again. Through painting, mixed media, and expressive forms, participating local artists reflect on identity, strength, intuition, transformation, and the deep wisdom carried by women across generations. Mark your calendars and take this opportunity to welcome this energy into your home.
The Opening Reception will take place Friday, March 13, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, and is open to the public. Guests will enjoy live music and refreshments in a warm, welcoming gallery setting. The evening is intended as a celebration of Tucson women—and the men who love, support, and stand beside them—offering an opportunity to gather, connect, and experience art that speaks to shared human experience.
For those unable to attend the reception, the exhibition will remain on view through April 11, and visitors are encouraged to stop by and spend time with the work throughout the show’s run.
