The Oro Valley Historical Society starts its season a little differently on September 12 from 9 a.m. – noon in the Pusch House Museum at Steam Pump Ranch. Our rotating exhibit is on pause as we continue to digitize our collection, but the museum is open and offering a special experience. We’re bringing out artifacts that are usually stored or only occasionally displayed, giving visitors a rare chance to see pieces not often on view. Our friendly docents will be on-site to share stories and answer questions. It’s a great moment to explore hidden treasures and watch the museum evolve as we modernize our exhibits for the future.
In addition, on September 12 only, our naturalist will be giving two one-hour gentle walking tours of the Ranch sharing stories about the plants, animals, people, and geology of our area. Gap Ministries will be on-site requesting donations of new or gently used clothing for pre-teen and teen boys, and EverCare Senior Placement will be with us to share information about senior living opportunities.
Visit the Heirloom Farmers Market and join the Oro Valley Historical Society for a great start to all of your Saturdays in September.
