Upsilon Theta Sigma will host their 2nd Annual Henry Alan Munson Owen (HAMO) Foundation 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, April 25th, 2026, at 8 am on the University of Arizona Mall. The HAMO Foundation is Upsilon Theta Sigma’s official Philanthropy, as they have a common mission of working with communities to raise awareness around mental health. This event is a major fundraising effort for the HAMO Foundation, and all proceeds from the 5k will go towards supporting them.

The HAMO Foundation also encourages reading and literacy through Henry’s Helpers and offers scholarships as a message of hope to those who embody Henry’s spirit. In 2024 alone, they were able to donate $17,500 towards scholarships for graduating high school seniors at multiple schools, hosted over 200 hours of Henry’s Helpers read aloud with countless volunteers, and funded five program strategies to support mental health education.

Upsilon Theta Sigma is the first Pre-professional Integrative Health fraternity that focuses on the prevention of chronic disease and illness through promotion of healthy lifestyle habits, including diet, exercise, sleep, mindfulness, and so much more. They promote integrative healthcare at the personal and professional level by hosting professional networking, fundraising, philanthropy, and social events both on campus and within the Tucson community.
