Community Gardens of Tucson (CGT) invites Tucsonans to come together for From the Ground Up, a farmers market-style fall fundraiser and community festival celebrating healthy soil, on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Doolen Middle School and Community Garden.
The festival will bring together gardeners, families, local organizations, and community partners for an afternoon celebrating the connections between healthy soil, local food, and a thriving community. Guests can enjoy local food trucks, live music, farmers market-style vendors, kids’ activities, and hands-on garden demonstrations and workshops while exploring soil health, composting, worms, gardening, and the many ways healthy soil supports healthy communities. Participating community partners will offer interactive activities and demonstrations throughout the afternoon, including composting education from Compost Cats, a hands-on worm demonstration from Inch by Inch, and Community Gardens of Tucson’s Kids in Gardens “Soil Explorers” activities.
