Every year, Dove of Peace Lutheran Church celebrates Mardi Gras with a free Mardi Gras Jass Mass featuring the Original Wildcat Jass Band, who will perform standards from the Dixieland jazz tradition throughout the service and accompany group singing of favorites Amazing Grace, Just A Closer Walk With Me, and When the Saints Go Marching In. Following the service, the church provides a free lunch with jambalaya, red beans and king cake. Both the service and the lunch are free and open to the public.
