🎶 FOLK SINGERS IN THE ROUND — BRUNCH CONCERT AT MONTEREY COURT 🎶
Every first and third Sunday, musicians from all over Tucson gather at the Monterey Court Song Circle to share songs, stories, and a love of folk music. Every so often, we take some of our favorite performers from the Song Circle and put them on stage for a special Folk Singers in the Round Brunch Concert.
This time, six performers will share the stage in two rounds, trading songs back and forth:
10:00–11:30 AM — Pat Madea • Nancy Zuniga • Don Simpson
11:30 AM–1:00 PM — Tom Poley • The Hanshaws • Ron Pandy
🎸 Pat Madea is a true folk singer with an interesting collection of songs and stories drawn from the folk tradition.
🌎 Nancy Zuniga has written a vast array of socially conscious songs — songs with something to say and maybe even a few ideas for saving the world.
🎶 Don Simpson brings a wonderful finger-picking style, traveling up and down the guitar neck with songs reaching back to the great folk music scare of the 60s.
🤠 Tom Poley brings songs and tales of the Wild West, colorful characters, and stories from the old frontier.
🎵 The Hanshaws are a delightful duo blending original songs with classics you’ll be glad to hear again.
✍️ Ron Pandy offers songs that can make you laugh one minute and contemplate the state of the world the next.
And it wouldn’t be a Monterey Court brunch without the food! Come hungry for Eggs Benedict, the Monty Christo, and plenty of other brunch favorites while six Tucson folk performers provide the soundtrack to your Sunday morning.
The concert is FREE.
