High School Battle of the Bands Audience Choice winner Florence Boulevard stops by Locals Only on Monday, June 1st, 2026, for a live performance and interview in KXCI’s Studio 2A at 9 PM. About Florence Boulevard:
Florence Boulevard is an alternative grunge band formed out of Andrada Polytechnic High School in Southern Tucson. With Joshua Villalpando’s inspirations from the 90s alternative rock and grunge scene(s), Jacob Chaney’s takeaways from the 00s melodic hardcore scene, and Cameron Farrell’s wide range of musical background, Florence Boulevard offers a unique approach to the memorable songwriting found in bands like Weezer and Nirvana. Their debut single, “What Happened to You?” Offers a small glimpse into what their upcoming album will have to offer. Florence Boulevard won the Audience Choice Award at the 2026 High School Battle of the Bands.
