As you may know, El Tour (eltourdetucson.org) has been an annual event in Tucson since 1983, is attended by thousands of cyclists every year, and was recently recognized by USA TODAY as the nation’s top road cycling event. The 2025 event will be held on Saturday, November 22. Registration is open and volunteers are welcome!

Our speaker this night will be TJ Juskiewicz, executive director of Perimeter Bicycling Association of America, which hosts El Tour. TJ has also been the director of RAGBRAI (the bike ride across Iowa) and Bike Florida, and has served as president of the national Bicycle Tour Network and the National Association of Governors’ Councils on Physical Fitness & Sports.

GABA members and non-members are welcome to attend. The event is FREE. Signup on the Meetup event page is not required, but does helps us estimate likely attendance. Feel free to network with your buddies before and after the presentation, which is up to 60 minutes in length and includes a Q and A. Light snacks, coffee and water will be provided.

GABA member meetings feature cycling-related presentations. They are held on second Thursdays each month from October through March in the H230 conference room at the Catalina United Methodist Church at 2700 E Speedway Blvd.

From Speedway, go south a half block on Treat and park in the lot directly across from the church’s east entrance gate. Follow the GABA signs. Enter the gate, turn right, and take the half flight of stairs to Room H230.
