SUPPORT

Go, Go, Go “Joseph…and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” is bursting to life at Arts Express Theatre Sept. 20 – Oct. 13!

This beloved Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice masterpiece is a kaleidoscope of rock, calypso, pop, country music, captivating storytelling, stunning visuals, and delightful dancing, plus a live band. The irresistible story of Joseph is not to be missed! “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” performances run September 20 – October 13 on Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday Matinees at 2 p.m.

The Narrator (Rachael Fornof) sets the scene, imparting to the audience this is the “the story of a boy whose dreams came true…”

Trouble begins when Jacob (Tom Spencer) gives his favorite son, Joseph (Steve Acker), a brilliant “technicolor dreamcoat,” which leaves his many brothers green with envy. The brothers conspire to get rid of Joseph for good, stage his death and sell him into slavery, allowing their father to believe he’s dead.

Years pass, but from becoming the rich man Potiphar’s slave, to the despair of imprisonment, to becoming the right hand of the Pharaoh, time and fate brings the brothers to Joseph’s door. When famine ravages the land, the brothers seek help from Pharoah’s advisor (Joseph), though they don’t recognize him as their brother. Still bitter about the brothers’ betrayal but longing to be reunited with his father, will Joseph cast them to die out or will forgiveness be the order of the day?
With hits like “Any Dream Will Do,” “Jacob and Sons,” and “Close Every Door, don’t miss this multi-Tony nominated, brilliantly crafted masterpiece full of vibrant vocals, soaring melodies, and jovial fun for the entire family.

“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” is Directed and Choreographed by Mickey Nugent, with Music Direction by Liz Spencer and Assistant Direction and Costume Design by Mae Berg.
