The Tucson Irish Music Showcase was conceived in an effort to highlight the talented traditional Irish Music artists in the Tucson area. The inaugural showcase was in February 2024 at The Live Theater Workshop in Tucson, AZ. Over 24 artists performed a variety of songs, instrumental tunes and dance to a sellout crowd. The second Showcase held February 2025 was another full house and featured even more musicians and dancers from the region bringing a crowd of over 400 to the Berger Center for the Performing Arts.
The overall goal is to provide the audience with a variety of traditional Irish music forms such as session tunes, ballads, Sean Nos (Gaelic) songs, poetry and step dancing using a variety of traditional instruments such as the harp, uilleann pipes, fiddle, and bodhran drum.
The third edition of TIMS looks forward to performing again at the renown Berger Center for The Performing Arts and also introducing workshops, to include a Ceili dance and sessions and is set for Friday and Saturday February 27-28th, 2026.
The 2026 Showcase is being produced a fundraiser for Art State Arizona- artstateaz.org
