The Southern Arizona Transportation Museum is hosting a special event on March 22, 2025, to celebrate multiple historical milestones. The 2025 Silver Spike Jubilee will commemorate the 145th anniversary of the railroad’s arrival in Tucson and the 20th anniversary of the museum itself. A key highlight of the event is the dedication of the new “Arrival of the Railroad” mural, set to take place at 11:30 AM. Festivities begin early, with music starting at 9:30 AM, followed by the main program at 10:00 AM. The event is supported by various community partners, including the City of Tucson, Pima County Attractions & Tourism, Union Pacific, Downtown Tucson Partnership, Tucson Lifestyle, and others. The celebration will be held at the museum, located at 414 N. Toole Ave., Tucson, AZ 85701. For more details, contact [email protected] or visit tucsonhistoricdepot.org.
