KXCI is proud to resume our Adult Live DJ Workshop for anyone 18 and over. Taught by Shelby Athouguia, a member of the Friday night DJ team Electric Feel. Shelby’s DJing style incorporates a wide array of mediums such as vinyl, digital and live production and pulls from varied influences such as rock, hip hop, EDM, disco and many more.

This introductory workshop is a 2-day course that will provide you with the fundamentals of live DJing.  Topics to be covered include CDJ and vinyl beat matching, different types of equipment, software and set up, and basic music theory as it relates to turntablism. You’ll also learn how to legally find and download music as well as proper DJ etiquette to be prepared for your first gig!
