Happy Pride Month! On Sunday, June 28th, from 10 am to 3 pm, KXCI will host featured programming to mark the Stonewall Uprising that took place on June 28th, 1969, and marked a pivotal moment in the struggle for LGBTQIA+ rights. KXCI DJs Miranda, DJ El Toro, and PheG (sounds like Fiji) and DJ Subby will celebrate the accomplishments and aspirations of the movement with great music from LGBTQIA+ artists, allies, and voices from Tucson community members. Tune in to KXCI as we commemorate this key turning point in LGBTQIA+ history.

Miranda kicks of KXCI’s Stonewall Day programming Sunday morning at 10am. At noon DJ El Toro will share an hour-long program with interview excerpts and pertinent songs from an exclusive interview with Barry Walters about his new book “Mighty Real: A History of LGBTQ Music, 1969-2000”. From 1 to 3pm PheG and DJ Subby will share Trans-Joy.
