On Friday, June 27th, KXCI will host special programming to mark the 56th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, June 28th, 1969, a pivotal moment in the struggle for LGBTQIA+ rights. From 7 am to 10 pm, KXCI DJs Elva, Jack Rabbit, Jaime J., Hannah, El Toro, Shelby and Toby will celebrate the accomplishments and aspirations of the movement with great music from LGBTQIA+ artists, allies, and voices from Tucson community members. Tune in to KXCI as we commemorate this key turning point in LGBTQIA+ history.

Mary O’Donoghue: Executive Director of SOAZ Senior Pride since 2023. Previously managed Volunteer services at Pima Council on Aging and has over a decade of leadership in community-based services supporting LGBTDIA+ communities and older adults.
Lane Santa Cruz : Ward 1 Tucson City Council Member, educator and community activist with a background in social justice, migrant rights, and a decade of work focusing on equitable policies for historically marginalized communities.
Melissa Cordero: Air Force Veteran, Member of Tucson’s LGBT Chamber of Commerce, Arizona lead clean energy organizer for Veterans Power of America, graduate of the Veterans Organizing Institute, and antiwar and anti mass-deportation activist with Common Defense.
T.C. Tolbert: Tucson’s Poet Laureate since 2017, trans and genderqueer feminist poet, social justice educator and activist. T.C. works to amplify queer, trans, and indigenous voices through mentorships, cultural events, public readings and workshops.
