With a background in a punk band, a knack for 80’s new wave, and inspiration from the talents of James Brown and Aretha Franklin, the return of critically-acclaimed and genre-blending singer-songwriter Santigold is here with the release of her newest single “High Priestess.” Santigold has been described by Pitchfork as “soulful, summery, and without borders.” This will be her first solo release since 2019, after receiving credits on projects such as Tyler, The Creator’s 2019 album IGOR and the single “MPC 2021” with collaborations from Busy P, DJ Mehdi, and Benjamin Epps earlier this year.
