As a founding member of The Head and the Heart, Josiah Johnson’s innate, extraordinary vocal and writing talents were a critical part of their rapid rise to acclaim. The heartbreaking realities of addiction sent him back to ground zero but eventually to a more peaceful and deeply creative space. Here Johnson joins host Hannah Levin virtually from his Oakland home to discuss that trajectory and shares live performances of songs from his new solo album, ‘Every Feeling on a Loop’ (ANTI-Records). Recorded exclusively for KXCI. Produced by Julius Schlosburg and Hannah Levin, art direction Josiah’s own. Special thanks and much love to Scott Holopainen at KEXP and Krystal at ANTI-.
