KXCI Community Radio Shared New Congress Street Studio with Area Nonprofits on #GivingTuesday

This Tuesday, November 28th from 7:00am to 8:00pm we hosted and broadcast a day long celebration of local nonprofits at the Congress Street Studio to highlight amazing people from great organizations who make Tucson a better place to live. #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. It was an incredible honor to meet the 15 nonprofit leaders stopped by to share their missions and how you can help. 22 more nonprofits shared their Community Impact Announcements.

Your support makes it all possible! You help KXCI Community Radio change lives by donating Community Impact Announcements to local nonprofits every year. So far this year, KXCI djs have read more than 10,000 announcements for more than 100 organizations to let you know about arts and culture, the environment, social services, education, health, and more.

So the next time you hear a KXCI volunteer DJ read a community impact announcement, give yourself a pat on the back. You helped bring that message to the airwaves, and made a difference in our community – and I’m very grateful.
