KXCI Community Radio airs more than 10,000 public service announcements annually for our fellow community-based, non-profit organizations, returning a value of more than $200,000 a year to our hometown.

Here are the current announcements, with live weblinks:

The Tucson Musicians Museum exists to honor and acknowledge the significant contributions of area musicians to our community. The museum is working toward having a permanent presence at the Tucson Community Center. Learn more about the group and their events at TucsonMusiciansMuseum.org.

The University of Arizona library’s new exhibit, “The Wilderness Act: Arizonans Keeping It Wild for 50 Years,” is on display through September 26th in Special Collections, 1510 East University Blvd. An opening reception with guest curator Meg Weesner will be held Tuesday, September 2nd from 5:30 to 7:30pm. 2nd Saturdays Downtown returns September 13th for a night of family fun. The outdoor Scott Avenue stage offers The Vexmen at 6:30pm followed by Domingo DeGrazia and the Kevin Pakulis Band. Chamberlab has a free show at Club Congress, which also hosts the Tucson Fringe Festival. 2nd Saturdays Downtown offers food vendors and food trucks, arts and crafts, living statues, street performers and more. The annual Flavors Of Tucson event is September 18th at LoewsVentanaCanyon. Flavors of Tucson is a unique gourmet experience with Tucson’s top chefs, benefiting the American Liver Foundation.
