Pentatonix formed in 2011 and quickly became known for their pop arrangements, impressive harmonies, and popular holiday releases, Based out of Arlington, Texas, the group features Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Scott Hoying, Matt Sallee, and Kevin Olusola. After winning NBC’s The Sing-Off and earning a recording contract with Sony Music, Pentatonix went on to sell over 10 million albums, and earn three Grammys.

0:20: As you can hear, they focus on pop, but also have a lot of Christmas albums.
0:26: Their harmonies are unbelievable to me.

1:00: Their music has a jumpy sound, and I think that vibe has helped to create the 34 singles, 6 compilation albums, 11 studio albums, and 6 EPs they’ve made as of today.

1:38: I hope you can research them to find out more.
1:54: Up next I have an a cappella group VoicePlay, who have turned into much more than a college vocal group since 1997 from Orlando, Florida.
2:05: Jeff, Ellie, Lane, and Caesar are the current cast of VoicePlay, but there have been many past members.
2:12: 28 years ago, Jeff, Lane, and a couple of friends created a college a cappella group called 425.
2:20: After many cast changes in 2012, they created their YouTube channel as their new name VoicePlay.
