This new exhibit highlights the Mexican and Mexican American Ranchers who homesteaded Vail land in the early to mid-1900; and whose families have significantly contributed to the history and preservation of the area. While many families moved to the city (Tucson), their stories and ties to the Vail Community remain strong. The exhibit also shows the importance of the Shrine de Santa Ria in the Desert, which will celebrate its 85th Anniversary in Vail, at the Shrine, on March 28th. Come and see an exhibit to get a preview of the Shrine, and get to know some of the families who have been part of Southern Arizona’s cultural living history.
