Set during the height of the French Revolution, four badass women – a playwright, an assassin, a spy and an empress – bond to tell the story of their turbulent times. It’s a comedy. Guillotines may be involved.
“These are hilarious and lovable women trapped in a history with a somber final act. Gunderson knows that all they have today are the stories told of them, so she brings them to life with relish.”
