Powerhouse: The Life and Work of Judith Chafee.

University of Arizona Associate Professor of Architecture Christopher Domin and Tucson architect Kathryn McGuire have published the book Powerhouse: The Life and Work of Judith Chafee, a renowned Tucson architect.

In recognition of the book, the College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture is hosting a gallery exhibition of Judith Chafee’s innovative residential work in the Sonoran desert and beyond. The exhibition runs from January 20 through February 4 in the College’s Sundt Gallery (main floor), and features the exceptional architectural photography of Bill Timmernan and architectural models of Chafee’s work by Trevor Cordivari.

Join us on Monday, January 27 at 5 p.m. in the Sundt Gallery for a reception and lecture by Christopher Domin.

• Exhibition is open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., through Feburary 4 in CAPLA’s Sundt Gallery
• Reception is 5 p.m., January 27 in CAPLA’s Sundt Gallery
• Lecture by Christopher Domin and Kathryn McGuire is 6 p.m., January 27 in the Center for Creative Photography auditorium

The College of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture and Center for Creative Photography are located next to each other on the University of Arizona campus.
