Since 2014 the Posse has racked up over 150,000 miles of touring, released 5 albums, and played numerous festivals including Shetland Folk Festival, Festival Memoire et Racine, New Bedford Folk Festival, and more!
The Posse’s signature is variety: all multi-instrumentalists, the band plays a dynamic repertoire of folk-roots genres; songs and tunes, traditional and original. For over four years they’ve been bringing their brand of ‘Neo-Traditional Folk’ to festival stages, dance halls and concert series across the US, Canada and Europe.
Opening the night will be Matt Rolland ( Run Boy Run) and Freddy Parish ( Freddy Parish Band)
Matt Rolland on fiddle is joined by Freddy Parish on guitar, banjo, and vocals for a night of old-time music and original instrumentals. Matt Rolland from Tucson, Arizona has had a fiddle in his hand since the age of four. Best known as the bandleader and fiddle player for the Tucson-based band, Run Boy Run, Matt has performed at festivals and concert halls across the country, released six studio albums and was twice featured on American Public Media’s popular radio show, “A Prairie Home Companion.” His most recent release includes a co-produced pair of singles with his wife and musical partner, Rebekah Rolland, “Mary / Louise” which are available for streaming online. A talented muli-instrumentalist, Rolland performs original tunes and old-time traditional music on fiddle, mandolin, and acoustic guitar. He is joined by Freddy Parish, a Tucson-based singer/songwriter performing original songs and traditional tunes in a neo-traditional folk and country style. Parish released an EP in 2018 called “Last Chance” of traditional songs and is currently recording a new album of original country inspired songs.
