SUPPORT
Making of Black America

Bank of America, in association with the Tucson Juneteenth Festival, Inc. and African American Museum of Southern AZ, presents a film by PBS, Skip Gates, and others. This film will present the soon-to-be-released series in small sections, that will be moderated, and with questions and answer from Local historians: Dr. Johnny Bowens, Jack Anderson, Evangelist Cherry Jackson, Donna Liggins, Walter Hopkins, Curtis Price, and Yevette Sikes. We will also honor those historians, by “bringing them flowers” and awarding them for the work that has been galvanizing the community for many years, as well as acknowledging that they are currently doing the work in the community. Awards created by local musician Joe Bourne. Join us early for dinner available for purchase by Hollywood BBQ. This event is Free, with raffles and giveaways.
