Landscapes of Migration in the Arizona-Sonora Borderland: Book Display

SUPPORT

In January, the glass cases at the Joel D. Valdez Main Library will feature a selection of books from the Cele Peterson Arizona Collection in support of an Arizona Humanities lecture on Saturday, January 13, 2018. In this talk, Scott Warren offers an in-depth look at historical and contemporary patterns of south-north migration through this region, from ancient Hohokam trade routes, to Spanish colonizers, to contemporary migrants—both documented and undocumented. This talk is intended to increase awareness of Arizona’s south-north connections and how they shape our cultural landscape.

Arizona Collection books are on display in the glass cases January 2-31, 2018.
