LIVE MUSIC TUESDAY featuring The Kiko Jácome Band, bringing Southwest Groove, Rock and Soul.
For longtime Tucsonans, the Jácome name may bring up memories of one of Tucson’s oldest and most established families. Think about the old Jácome Department Store or downtown’s Jácome Plaza, the site of Pima County’s downtown Public Library.
A consummate triple threat, Kiko’s ever evolving skills as a singer, guitarist and songwriter are all on prominent display. Kiko’s new band brings a more groove-oriented sound. The performance will not only show off a tremendous depth and range of material but will also leave audiences with the sense that each song is its own little gemstone with something special and significant to offer. He often refers to his music as an amalgam of “Homegrown” rock, blues and desert soul. Whatever you want to call it, it’s just good, really good.
