On May 13 from 8am to 11am Southside Presbyterian Church is sponsoring a voluntary surrender of unwanted guns.
As an effort to reduce the accidental or intentional gun violence in our community gun owners are invited to drive into our north parking lot at 317 West 23rd Street (85713) and surrender their unwanted and unloaded gun(s) from the trunk of their car to a fire arm expert who will disarm the gun if needed, and pass the gun to chopsawers who will dismantle the gun at that time. The metal from the guns will be donated to a blacksmith school who will turn the metal into garden tools, metal art or jewelry. The owners will remain anonymous.
