
Join us for our 70th Annual Community Impact Awards – Greater Tucson Leadership’s Annual Signature Event!
The Community Impact Awards (formerly the Tucson Man and Woman, Founders, and GTL Alumni Of Excellence Awards) ceremony, now in its 70th year, is a wonderful celebration of community leadership. We will honor Tucson’s most distinguished leaders, celebrate what is great about the people of Tucson, and support the mission and work of Greater Tucson Leadership (GTL).
The Tucson Man and Woman of the Year awards are presented to those who have distinguished themselves for active support of community projects that demonstrated excellence in leadership and are a source of positive influence and inspiration for others. Woman of the Year: Kathy Prather, Chief Executive Officer and Superintendent, Pima JTED. Man of the Year: Lee Lambert, Chancellor, Pima Community College.
The Founders Award, established in 1985, is a lifetime achievement recognition honoring an individual who has demonstrated significant long-term community involvement and accomplishments and who has helped to shape the community in a positive manner with merit and dedication. Founders Award: Jeannette Maré. Founder, Ben’s Bells Project.
The GTL Alumni Excellence Award was established in 2017 and recognizes an alumnus of the GTL program who is positively impacting the Tucson community by actively utilizing the leadership skills learned during their time in the GTL program. GTL Alumni of Excellence: Diana Charbonneau, Development Coordinator, IMPACT of Southern Arizona.
