On Friday 11/27, Amor Deluxe will open the show, then back up Katie Haverly for her set. Amor Deluxe is fronted by Tucson’s transplanted Frenchman Naim Amor on vocals and guitar, and also features Ben Nisbet on guitar, Thoger Lund on bass and Casey Hadland on drums. Amor Deluxe will play a largely instrumental set of Modern Lounge original material. Katie will be playing a set of original songs, including some new debuts and some from previous records, and Katie will be singing and playing keyboards/piano.
On Saturday 11/28 Tucson’s own Freddy Parish and Mamma Coal team up for a night of Americana at the Annex’s outdoor stage. Combining their players into a six-member band featuring fiddle, dobro, banjo, and pedal steel, listeners will be treated to the harmonies and sacred sounds of string band and honky tonk country music. Singer/songwriter/guitar players Freddy Parish and Mamma Coal will lead their combined bands through a mix of originals and cover songs, backed up by Alvin Blaine on pedal steel, banjo and more, Matt Rolland on fiddle and violin, Thoger Lund on bass and Fred Hayes on drums.
