Partners for Equitable Science Instruction and the Cooper Center for Environmental Learning (Camp Cooper) invite you to a FREE fun-filled day exploring science and the Sonoran Desert with a wide array of community partners! Our goal is to highlight some of the many opportunities in our communities to experience science, for classroom teachers, families, and learners of all ages.
The day will feature hands-on activities with Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Trees for Tucson, Tucson Clean and Beautiful, Reid Park Zoo, Flandrau Science Center and Planetarium, Arizona Project WET, Saguaro National Park, Biosphere 2, and more, as well as the Hollinger Elementary School Perritos Mariachi at 10am, desert hikes at 11am and 1pm, guest speaker Dustin Williams, Pima County Schools Superintendent, at 12:30pm, and food trucks on site throughout with food for purchase!
