Elizabeth Field with members of Trio Settecento.
Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.
St. Philip’s In The Hills Episcopal Church, 4440 N. Campbell Ave. in Tucson, AZ.
Italy was the birthplace of the violin and the sonata. Elizabeth Field and members of Trio Settecento celebrate these powerful musical innovations by featuring Italian violin sonatas of the 17th and 18th centuries.
The program focuses on the instrumental pyrotechnics in the compositions of both well-known composers such as Corelli and Vivaldi, and those such as Veracini and Stradella, who were celebrated in their day and are less familiar now.
Each member of this ensemble — Elizabeth Field (baroque violin), John Mark Rozendaal (violoncello), and David Schrader (harpsichord)—has an illustrious solo career and deep experience in ensemble performance.

The Arizona Early Music (AEMS) presents an annual season of music from Bach and Before. Now in its 38th season, the Arizona Early Music Society presents a veritable feast of top-ranked national and international ensembles bringing early music to life for Tucson audiences.
