Civic Orchestra of Tucson presents Free Concert: “The Emperor!”

Dr. Rex Woods, piano soloist

Music Director Charles Bontrager leads the Civic Orchestra of Tucson in a free concert of musical masterpieces.

Featured soloist is Dr. Rex Woods, performing Beethoven’s beloved Piano Concerto No. 5 (“Emperor”). Dr. Woods is Professor of Music at the University of Arizona.

Also on the program are Mikhail Glinka’s “Ruslan and Lyudmila Overture” and “Le Coq d’Or Suite” by Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

Open seating; no tickets are needed for this free concert.

The Civic Orchestra of Tucson is a 75-member community orchestra, performing free concerts throughout the greater Tucson area since 1975.
