Aura Valdes is a Queer performance artist/ poet who has thrives on the energy of live, improv performance. Over the last ten years she has performed on stages through out Boston like the Sextacular showcase in Cambridge Ma. Most recently Aura has performed at The owls nest – monthly reading here in Tucson, as well as open mic @ Words on the Avenue. This queer POC loves poetry almost as much as glitter ;).

Roxy Marie writes poems and resists harmful bullshit in Tuxon with her dog & queer found family. Reverence and irreverence alike have parallel thrones in her heart.

Qaf is from your dreams. Combining various body parts from every conceivable gender, they are two complete beings of sound encompassing the totality of human experience. They are the hero twins of myth. They are Beatbutt and Cakeboy. They are elektro sounds from the desert southwest. They are queer as fuk.

The Cabin Project made up of four Portland-based women, is an indie rock band whose sound stems from haunting choruses, three-part harmonies, pedals, synths and string sections. The songs are musically expansive, yet retain an intimacy similar to that of The National, Warpaint and Bon Iver.
The band started as a project of Katie Sawicki, a former-folksinger from Brooklyn who became inspired by electric guitars, keys, synthesizers, and balancing all three onstage. Sawicki sought out musicians to collaborate with, leading her to musical partner Zanny Geffel, an orchestral drummer, rooted in jazz and percussion, with a preponderance for poetry and onstage mayhem. Jean Mastaler and Kelly Clifton create the band’s strings and bass section.
