SUPPORT
Panelists for Free Webinar Program

The Tucson League of Women Voters presents a free community program to engage with the rich history of African Americans in Tucson. Our moderator will be Mr. Victor Bowleg, and our expert panelists will be Ms. Debi Chess, Ms. Barbara Lewis, Dr. Tani Sanchez, Ms. Sadie Shaw, and Ms. Gloria L. Smith. These women are an extraordinary group of historians, scholars, activists, and leaders in the community and we are honored to have them join us for this program. They will discuss topics including the Dunbar School, The Dunbar Pavilion, the Sugar Hill neighborhood, local Black women’s organizations, the African American roots of A Mountain, a tour of Tucson Black History, and much more.
