A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Far Out Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Sierra Vista Community Theatre will present William Shakespeare’s romantic comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Dave Dahl. One of Shakespeare’s most often produced plays is the timeless story of lovers, fairies, and want to be actors. This production promises a different approach by having its setting in 1967. Using the music and costumes of the era, director Dave Dahl hopes, “Audiences will attend for a unique and wonderful evening of theatre. Shakespeare’s actors often spoke directly to the audience. We are excited to bring this approach to our audience.”
Performances of A Midsummer Night’s Dream can be seen on April 15, 16, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 at 7 pm and April 24, and May 1 at 3 pm. Director Dave Dahl will host a pre-show discussion at 6 pm opening night in the rehearsal space. There will also be a talk-back with the cast, director, and crew after the performance on Sunday, April 24 after the performance. The theatre is located inside The Mall at Sierra Vista, 2200 El Mercado Loop, Sierra Vista, AZ. Tickets can be reserved online at https://www.onthestage.tickets/show/sierra-vista-community-theatre/a-midsummer-nights-dream-35492/tickets. Or by calling the theatre at 520-458-5889
