What’s Up, Docs?

The School of Theatre, Film & Television presents the 2023 edition of What’s Up, Docs?, our annual showcase of outstanding new short documentaries. Join us and watch 9 poignant, artful, funny, and thought-provoking films, including:

– ‘Beyond the Magic Box’ follows Stories that Soar artists who have two weeks to produce and perform a show inspired by children’s original stories. (Jordan Fouts and Aiden Miller)
– In ‘Utterly Revolting’ local Tucson drag queens fight with filth and fluids in a sideshow that brings freaks together. (Allie Cincera and Cosmo Brusa Zappellini)
– ‘Crossroads’ follows a longtime owner of an auto repair shop who now focuses on mentoring his youngest employee. (Jackson Bowerman and Cody Rivera)
– ‘Memory and Millinery: The Legacy of Toni Ham’ shines a light on a matriarch whose hat-making mastery transcended mere fashion and exemplified the idea of living life beautifully, as remembered by her daughter Charlotte. (Xander Maniece, Justin Marroquin, and Philip Summers)

The screening is FREE to attend and will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers led by Jeff Yanc.

Note that the first half will be family friendly while the second half contains some adult content.
