It’s Time for Thesis Thursday, a weekly program where we invite students from the University of Arizona to come into the station and talk a little bit about what they are working on in school, their plans for the future, and we even talk about music a little bit.
Lucas Harrell is a senior at the University of Arizona. He currently conducting Ewing’s Sarcoma research in the lab of Jacob Schwartz, PhD. His goal is to identify the genetic events necessary for Ewing’s Sarcoma to develop, and hopes that his discoveries will inform future treatment options for Ewing’s patients. Lucas will graduate from the University of Arizona in May 2017, and is currently applying for admission to cancer biology PhD programs around the country. Outside of lab, he likes to play with his dog, bike, and read books.
