Astronomy Family Fun Night

Himmel Park Public Library

A special night of family fun where the University of Arizona Astronomy Club, Astronomy graduate students and postdocs will give a presentation on NEOs (Near Earth Objects) that come from the far reaches of outer space to our planet. We’ll learn about asteroids, meteors, Comet ISON and other comets, and what they tell us about our Solar System and how life formed on our planet.

Following the presentation we will go outside for a guided telescope viewing of the fall sky, including the planet Venus, galaxies, star clusters, constellations and more! Children’s crafts will also be offered!
